It ALL STARTED WITH ONE PHOTOWALK
The Lancaster County Photography meetup was conceived as an excuse for local photographers to get out of the house, capture some shots, share tips, and socialize. The true origins of our group started with a few small photowalks way back in 2008. From those humble beginnings we were fortunate to see the group grow to host several thousand participants at hundreds of events over the past 16 years. The following selection of random numerical facts only tell a small part of our group’s story.

THE FIRST THURSDAY OF THE MONTH
One of the core components of our group’s programming has been our Thursday night meetups. While the location of these get-togethers has changed a few times, they always continued to offer a diverse variety of programming ranging from software and lighting tutorials, to travel logs, to hands on instruction. Many members over the years have remarked on their gratitude for those meetings (and those famous monthly assignments) for giving them one night a month to focus on their passion for photography and to fellowship with other photographers.

When you add it all up, the past 16 years have been great!
